Making Digital Footprints
To introduce digital citizenship to my 5th graders, we created our digital footprints using Wordart.com. We didn't sign up or make accounts but took screenshots of the completed feet to add to a Google doc. Students were asked to list their top three tech activities, websites visited, devices used, and items posted about them. As 5th graders, many of them are new to the digital world, but they all have a digital footprint already. They then described their digital footprints in poetry or prose.
