7th graders are writing how-to paragraphs using transition words. I added research to the assignment and asked students to use the AVL website to take notes before constructing their topics. Topics included how to take care of a pet monkey, how to survive on Antarctica, how to grow a bonsai tree, and how to make chocolate. Students then typed their paragraphs and added images. Beautiful!
