Scout badges are a great way to teach characterization. Characterization requires students to make inferences and connections while reading. This was a fun assignment for my artistic students though some students used Canva or Google Drawings to create some thoughtful Scout badges, too. Check out the awesome example below:

A Raisin in the Sun Student Activities
My bulletin board is currently filled with 7th grade poems, but I was able to hang the A Raisin in the Sun assignments on cork strips in the hallway. The students were very proud to see their work displayed. Check out their work below!
