Classic Novels for $1
At varying times throughout the year, Michaels and Target have offered adapted versions of classic novels for only $1. At Target they are in the Dollar Section. I grabbed a class set of The Call of the Wild and A Christmas Carol. While they are adapted for a lower level, they are quite engaging and include pictures and the gist of the text. They are perfect for struggling or reluctant readers. I also have The Wind in the Willows, Alice in Wonderland, and Oliver Twist.
